Security Simplified - Learn How To Find, Exploit and Mitigate Web Vulnerabilites.
During our subtle technical experience of 7 years in Application security Industry we have often noticed that majority of the people who are into this space know how to exploit various security vulnerabilities. But what we often found lacking were the fundamental understanding of how these vulnerability existed in the first place. This series is a small attempt which will cover some of the most found vulnerabilities in today’s modern web applications explaining things from the developers perspective ultimately leading to their exploitation.
Each article is devised in such a way that a vulnerable code snippet written in PHP (later explained) will remain the main focus throughout the whole article. The first portion of the article will explain WHY and HOW the vulnerability arises and in the second portion of the article reader will get to know the explaination and mitigation of underlying issues. In that way, and even following up the series reader will have both(developer/attacker) perspective of most commonly found vulnerabilities in web applications.
